A lifetime of struggle with mental illness, diagnosed Social Anxiety Disorder, Manic Depression, Chronic Depression, and Schizophrenia. Hiding the things that should have been shared with therapists and others led to repeated “mental breakdowns.”
Eventually I started writing a blog, working my way to health through release of traumatic life events through writing and being open about it all. I found people online who made me feel normal because they are like me, had experiences like me, and struggles with mental illness like me.
Three years later, more and more people like to read what I share on the blog… most people are respectful. I don’t focus just on mental health, but rather on writing as a way to release thoughts, emotions, and feelings for a healthier daily life. Writing therapy saved “my” life.
