Dx: Schizoaffective Disorder, Major Depression, Panic Disorder, Chronic Pain Secondary to Spine Injury
My name is Eric. That is my real name. It doesn’t get any realer than that; that’s what I’ve realized. I was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder, major depression, panic disorder and chronic pain secondary to spine injury. Before these diagnoses, I was a temporary patient of Kaiser and I was diagnosed with PTSD stemming from many things: guilt and shame originating from a Judaeo-Christian complex, having taken a human life using “imperfect” self-defense when I was 18 years old and serving many years in hardcore level four years of California state prisons for it, and several other horrible things that happen in life.
Anyways, I am not here to play a violin for myself. I am just here to say, “Keep your head up.” And have faith in the Science of Medicine.
Also, if you have time, try looking into psychotherapy/psychoanalysis and research the life and writings of Dr. Carl Gustav Jung and the Red Book. It is very interesting to know history and whence we came to this present moment called NOW.
Thank you NAMI for the new look of the website. It’s looking more user-friendly.
Again, people, “Love yourself. And one another.”
Eric (Los Angeles, CA)
