Finally, Peace & Quiet
From age five to age sixty four, one enormous disillusionment after the other caused an everlasting continuum of depressive episodes. At age fourteen I wished I could work with a psychiatrist but there was none in the area where I happened to reside at the time. Later, during my following teens’ years, I found one doctor but my mother decided that it was too expensive to follow up every three months. Finally, at age forty one, I decided to consult with a psychiatrist on my own because I did not want to do to my boy what my parents had done to me. Thank heaven I took my antidepressant and saw the light, and what a fantastic light that was, I wish everyone could see it, if they only listened!!! My advice to those who suffer from depression and/or other emotional conditions is that you should take your medications and never drop them. I made the mistake of trying a break from my medications, now and then, and I ended up with five or even six relapses. When you find the right medication, treasure it!!! When I reached age fifty four, I earned my second degree with a GPA of 3.8. Today, I am finally feeling better than ever, and working again on my book. Thank you, MY BELOVED SCIENTISTS, may you live forever!
