As a child of a mentally ill mom, I know to well how overwhelming and alone one can feel especially when dealing with the public sector, which often lacks not only the sensitivity but the resources and training in dealing with those in our population!  

After, returning to my community health center to obtain documentation and contact information for our local district court system and mailing in out. I went before a judge and found out that he had never even received the information. The court clerk confessed to getting it and ‘throwing it away.“. In addition, there was no literature available for anyone who suffer from mental illness nor did the judge bother to make any referrals!
