Finding Light

Life can be so boring you wish for death.
You get closer with each passing breath.
Time seemingly seems paused or slow.

Spiritual anguish can start to grow.
After you find the ways of the world,
Into a battle for souls you are hurled.
All you can do is watch evil strengthen.
A past being blind, the future will weaken.
The masses all seem troubled and lost.
Some sell their soul blinded to the cost.
Almighty God put me here for a reason.
Denying my purpose would be a treason.
A day may arrive where I am crucified.
I carry a heavy cross with pills by my side.
A guiding Light, my path is now shown.
Into the dark, I’m now on my own.
Though around me Love can be found,
The hate is enough for me to be drowned.
As I go down I will raise my hand high
Holding a beacon that I hope to stay dry.
At the right place I will pass on the torch.
Foundations of suffering I hope to scorch.
My purpose is to take over people’s pain.
Crushing the source like a hydra is slain.
Absolution found by the Spirit Divine,
At least I now posses a fire that’s mine.
