When I was first diagnosed as having Bipolar neither my wife or I had any clue as to why my behaviours had become so erratic. The diagnosis brought with it the beginning of understanding along with medication and therapy. In the twenty five plus years since the diagnosis, I have come to realize that it is helpful to have other coping tools besides just meds and therapy. For me I find it helpful to have friends, a job, church, my music, etc. I know some people draw, exercise, whatever works for you. I have found my thoughts affect my mood, so if I can listen to music or read, somehow change my thoughts to positive, it helps. I have my faith which has helped to sustain me. Music is big for me. Find what works for you, there is always hope for a better day, a better mood, a better life, you must believe it.
There Is Always Hope
